It is my goal to work alongside my client to find what will help them through the issues they have sought support for. I am determined to provide guidance that aligns with my clients goals to help build the confidence to handle any situation. My main forms of therapy include CBT, ACT, EMDR, and SFBT.

We all feel stress and anxiety at some points in our life and I enjoy working with clients on how to manage and navigate these emotions more confidently. A contributor to anxiety is distorted thought patterns we may have developed along the lines that feed into a negative narrative about ourselves, our past and our futures. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand why we become anxious, identify negative thought patterns, identify tools to help you change those patterns, and practice methods to support your body to rest in a calm state. From the CBT perspective, learning to manage and challenge your own thinking patterns puts you in the driver seat of your emotions. I enjoy utilizing this therapy for a variety of other issues that include depression, relationship issues, self, esteem, etc.

Do you ever feel stuck in life? Have to make a decision but can’t seem to figure it out? Not sure how to optimize your life and get to your greatest potential? I also use Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) to help you learn to get to and live your full potential. With this therapy we can explore what your values are and what are the barriers contributing to feeling stuck and unclear of your life path and get to where you desire to be.

I take great honor in working with clients who are ready to tackle past traumas of their life. I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help you heal negative impactful moments of your life in the past that may be showing up in unwanted behaviors in your present.

I also specialize in working with International Students. Being a First Generation Canadian and bicultural, I understand the complexities of trying to navigate between two different worlds with different values and the stress/traumas that come with that. I can help you to combine these worlds together and help solidify your identity.

Lastly, I am also passionate about working with blended families. Blended family dynamics can become complicated and with a variety of people involved disagreements can ensue, which can result in turmoil and hostility between differing parties. I am dedicated to helping blended families be able to transform into a functional unit that works for everyone involved including biological parents, stepparents, and the children.
